Download all three files and open them in Google Earth Pro.
Understand the colour codes¶
🔴 Red zone — Flight safety critical
Permission required. Surrounds airports and other flight safety critical installations.
🟠 Orange zone — Awareness
Exercise extra caution. Requires heightened awareness and specific rules.
🔵 Blue zone — Security critical
Special rules. Surrounds sensitive locations — check the rules before flying.
🟢 Green zone — Nature areas
May be active. Protected nature areas where flying may be prohibited depending on season. Check whether the area is active.
Troubleshooting¶
Files won't open in Google Earth
Check that you have Google Earth Pro installed (not the web-based version). KML files require the desktop version.
I can't see any colours/zones
Check that the layers are enabled in the "Places" panel. Try zooming in on Denmark.
Can I use Google Earth on mobile?
The Google Earth app supports KML to a limited extent. For the best experience, use the desktop version, or Google My Maps on mobile.
